strangely

Last night as Ren and I cuddled and told stories in my bed at bedtime, he said, ‘Why is that guy acting so strangely?”
It gave me pause for a moment, “Nice word choice, little man. You’re four, right?”
    “Yeah.”
“And you chose that adverb? And used it correctly?”
He looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and gave me the I-don’t-know-what-you-are-talking-about look. “Okay, momma,” he said, then asked again, “Why is that guy acting so strangely?”

I was helping Ren get dressed and dug around in his dresser for undergarments. “Boxers or briefs, “I said holding up a pair of Spider Man undies and a pair of solid color boxer briefs. “Briefs,” he said. “I really don’t like boxers.”
